I am a Production Coordinator/Associate Producer living in New York City currently working in non-profit documentary production.

During the summer 2015, I worked as an intern for the 100 People Foundation in New York City. The foundation is a non-profit for global education. I was in charge of editing 2-5 minute videos for each of 100 people who were interviewed as part of a project that aimed to create an accessible model of the composition of the people in this world to be used for educational purposes.  Subjects were chosen based on age, nationality and gender to form a sample of NYC residents who statistically represent the world’s population.

From May 2016 to present, I have continued to work on projects with the 100 People Foundation and Carolyn Jones Productions in the roles of Production Coordinator/Associate Producer, Audio Engineer, and Editor. We created a body of work, photography and film, for a project entitled 100 People of Newark. With the use of census data for age, gender, and ethnicity we created a statistically accurate snapshot of the city of Newark. From research and development through production and post-production, I played an integral role in selecting our nominees/participants, scheduling shoots, choosing locations, running shoots out on location and completing our deliverables for the  final launch event and website. The project combines film, social media, and web platforms with a photo gallery to create a well-rounded experience where viewers can “meet” the people of Newark. It was an adventure I will never forget to learn about the city through it’s community members’ stories of passion and determination. One of my proudest moments was seeing the looks on our nominees’ faces when they visited the installation with their friends and families and saw their photos hanging for the first time.

Ultimately, I would like to continue my work in media, documentary, and socially-aware film and incorporate global perspectives into my work. I am passionate about education and expanding knowledge of complicated topics. I am on a mission to create meaningful media with the power to start a ripple of change. I go to work and take on new challenges daily in an effort to make something new and make a difference in the world.
