The following videos are examples of my work from some of my favorite projects.  They range from my documentary work here in NYC to promotional and marketing material that I produced with Indiana University Media and Marketing, narrative projects, and news segments for Indiana Newsdesk on WTIU, Bloomington’s PBS affiliate.

Visual Demo Reel

My reel features some of my favorite shots and sound bites from the projects that I am most passionate about.  For full versions of some of my work, keep on scrolling!

It’s On Us, Indiana University

It’s On Us is a nationwide campaign to end sexual assault.  My team with IU Media and Marketing was asked to make a video to launch the campaign at our university.  The video is a combination of a call-to-action as well as an informational video about how students can participate in the campaign and video competition.  I worked as the Producer and a Camera Operator.

Hoosier Leadership Program Promo Video

The Hoosier Leadership Program is a program based on the philosophy of non-positional leadership and a process of exploring values, honing leadership skills, and becoming an inclusive leader.  I worked with IU Student Life and Learning to create a video that would inspire students to participate in the program.  I also produced, directed, shot, edited, and created the graphics for the video.

Happy To Be

This is a film that I produced, directed, shot, and edited for Campus Movie Fest 2014.  CMF is the world’s largest student film festival that travels around to universities globally.  For the competition, students have one week to fully produce a five minute short film.  My film won Best Picture at IU and went on to compete in the 2014 Campus Movie Fest Hollywood competition.  It was also chosen as one of five films nationally to be shown on Virgin America Airlines throughout the summer of 2014.

MyInvolvement, Indiana University

For my job with IU Media and Marketing, I worked with the IU Division of Student Affairs to create this video promoting student activities at IU.  We were challenged with the task of working with more graphics and simple animation, so the project involved a lot of collaboration with graphic designers, editors, and reworking the script for the client.  I produced the video and wrote the script.

History Through Headlines: Indianapolis Zoo

From January to September of 2014, I interned at the WTIU, PBS Affiliate, television station.  I was chosen to produce my own segment, History Through Headlines for Indiana Newsdesk.  This involved researching a relevant historical topic, working with historians and interviewees, writing a script, directing and editing segments each month.  For this segment, the topic was the 50th anniversary of the Indianapolis Zoo for which I interviewed Carla Knapp, the zoo’s spokesperson.

History Through Headlines: 1943 Cincinnati Reds Spring Training

For this episode of HTH, featuring author Marty Pieratt, we told the story of baseball spring training being moved to Indiana during World War II.  I wrote, produced, and edited the segment for the weekly production of Indiana Newsdesk.
